All is well
Everything has been ok since the trip to the ER. I went to the doctor on Monday for b/w and had a u/s on Tuesday. My beta at the ER Wednesday was 2,145 and it was over 10,000 on Monday. So that was promising. Then at the u/s we were able to see the gestational sac and a yolk sac. I had a little scare when I talked to the Dr b/c he received my u/s results from the ER trip and was concerned b/c with a beta of 10K we should see a yolk sac and didn't see one in the ER pics. So he had me really concerned and told me that the pg might not be viable. Just as I was leaving the nurse came and told me that she had given the wrong u/s results to the Dr! So when they got the new ones I was relieved to hear that everything was normal!
He still had me come back in the following week for another u/s. I got to see the heartbeat and they finally gave me pics! It was crazy- the h/b didn't look at all like I would expect. It just looked like this little whirly thing going around in a circle. Very cool though. H/b was 112. Not great, but they don't worry unless it is under 100. The little one measured at only 6w0d when according to my period I was 6w6d. So he said that it might be b/c the heart just started beating and hadn't reached the full rate. The doctor told me not to worry and to go ahead and live life like normal. If anything happens there will be nothing I can do to prevent it. He also said that after you hear the h/b there is only a 5% chance of m/c. I don't go back in until April for my regular appt. They changed my edd to Oct 31- Halloween!
This was the first time I had met my regular dr. I was a little worried b/c he is a man, but I really like him. He seems very fun- not too serious. And he took time to show me how to fight nausea if I get morning sickness. The doctor's office always runs behind schedule- but I suppose they all do!
I've had some morning sickness starting at about week 6 (LMP timing). It's not terrible, but somedays I just feel crappy all day. And I have to eat something for breakfast now or I feel like I will puke. Then at about 11 I feel really sick b/c I need to eat. Other than that it hasn't been too bad. I hope it will not be bad next week when we are in Vegas! I am making sure to bring tons of snacks along to keep my tummy full! I also get full really easily and feel really uncomfortable after I eat a lot. I suppose things are getting cramped in there!
