9w0d LMP

We went to Vegas for Spring break and although I couldn't drink we still had a great time! I was a little worried about flying b/c I haven't been feeling well and on Monday (the day we were supposed to leave) I woke up and was spotting red. So I was really concerned and nervous about going. We prayed about it and decided to go ahead and go and all ended up ok. I stopped bleeding by mid afternoon and was ok on the plane. Definitely didn't feel great, but I didn't puke or anything so I figure that it all went well!

We got to Vegas on Monday afternoon and after checking into the hotel did some walking around and ate dinner. Benji made fun of me for being in bed by 6:30 (8:30 DSM time!) Then on Tuesday we rented a car and drove to the Hoover Dam which was cool. On Wed we went to a time share thing (made $75!) and then walked around on the South side of the strip some more. Wed night we went to see the Cirque du Soliel show Mystere. It was amazing what those performers can do! The strong man skit was particularly impressive. Wed night John got into town so Benji did some gambling with him while I slept (he even made 100!) Thursday we walked around some more (North strip) but our feet were killing us so we went back to the Flamingo and laid out by the pool. Doug got into town about 3:30 and we met up with him and John to watch some bball and go out to the buffet at Harrah's (2 for 1!). We flew out early Fri morning (had to be at Airport at 5:30!!)

We stayed at the Flamingo which was right in the middle of the strip and about perfect position. Near to all the action. The weather was ok- a little cool but it was nice when it was sunny and not windy. All in all a very good trip. I hardly gambled at all there was so much else to do! Did tons of walking around and looking at stuff it is just amazing how much there is down there to do and see and how big everything is.
While we were there I didn't really ever feel too sick so I was really worried that it "meant " something. But when I got back here all my symptoms came back so I think it was just b/c I was snacking all the time and we were always moving around- my body didn't have enough energy to be sick!

I'm really excited for my dr appt in 2 weeks. I want to hear the HB to know that everything is ok! It will be such a relief to get out of the first trimester and be a little more secure in this pg. As for current symptoms- don't feel good in the morning- I need to eat right away. Boobs are huge (Benji even called them too big once) and still a little sore. Tired and peeing all the time. No real food aversions- although I have been on a dairy kick lately (ice cream and cheese). Have to keep food in my tummy or I start to not feel well. I puked for the first time yesterday while I was brushing my teeth- not a ton but still not fun!

All is well

Everything has been ok since the trip to the ER. I went to the doctor on Monday for b/w and had a u/s on Tuesday. My beta at the ER Wednesday was 2,145 and it was over 10,000 on Monday. So that was promising. Then at the u/s we were able to see the gestational sac and a yolk sac. I had a little scare when I talked to the Dr b/c he received my u/s results from the ER trip and was concerned b/c with a beta of 10K we should see a yolk sac and didn't see one in the ER pics. So he had me really concerned and told me that the pg might not be viable. Just as I was leaving the nurse came and told me that she had given the wrong u/s results to the Dr! So when they got the new ones I was relieved to hear that everything was normal!

He still had me come back in the following week for another u/s. I got to see the heartbeat and they finally gave me pics! It was crazy- the h/b didn't look at all like I would expect. It just looked like this little whirly thing going around in a circle. Very cool though. H/b was 112. Not great, but they don't worry unless it is under 100. The little one measured at only 6w0d when according to my period I was 6w6d. So he said that it might be b/c the heart just started beating and hadn't reached the full rate. The doctor told me not to worry and to go ahead and live life like normal. If anything happens there will be nothing I can do to prevent it. He also said that after you hear the h/b there is only a 5% chance of m/c. I don't go back in until April for my regular appt. They changed my edd to Oct 31- Halloween!

This was the first time I had met my regular dr. I was a little worried b/c he is a man, but I really like him. He seems very fun- not too serious. And he took time to show me how to fight nausea if I get morning sickness. The doctor's office always runs behind schedule- but I suppose they all do!

I've had some morning sickness starting at about week 6 (LMP timing). It's not terrible, but somedays I just feel crappy all day. And I have to eat something for breakfast now or I feel like I will puke. Then at about 11 I feel really sick b/c I need to eat. Other than that it hasn't been too bad. I hope it will not be bad next week when we are in Vegas! I am making sure to bring tons of snacks along to keep my tummy full! I also get full really easily and feel really uncomfortable after I eat a lot. I suppose things are getting cramped in there!
