There are some things that have surprised me about my pregnancy:
I'm not as big as I thought I'd be. I always thought I'd be huge and have trouble even fitting behind the wheel of my car, but I'm just not that big. But it is surprisingly hard for me to wipe after going to the bathroom. My arms are short and my belly gets in the way. It's also hard to put on socks and shoes, actually bending in general is difficult. Especially in the last two weeks or so.
I can eat about as much as I could before- everyone says that you lose stomach capacity b/c the uterus is squishing everything so much, but I don't seem to have that problem.
Other than waking to go to the bathroom and take a Tums, I actually seem to sleep ok.
I didn't really have any of these pregnancy cravings that you hear so much about.
My lung capacity has definitely decreased, I notice it the most when I am singing and going up a flight of stairs takes extra effort.
Emotionally, I am doing great. Did not have any of the crazy pregnancy hormones in my body. And really physically I haven't felt that bad either- just bigger and harder to move.
The baby itself really does not make me that uncomfortable. Has been in my ribs a little more lately, but nothing to complain about like others do.
All in all I've really enjoyed the pregnancy.
